　　本片是導演艾曼雷．卡雷爾改編自他自己一九八六年出版的小說。他的另外兩本小說《 Class Trip 》及《 The Adversary 》曾分別被葛羅特．米勒及妮歌．加西亞兩位導演改編成電影並先後成為康城影展的參選影片。在本片中，因為男人的妻子和老友否認他曾經蓄鬍子而令整個故事維持在緊張的氣氛中。

《胡子惊魂电影网友评论》

怎么说也是几年前叶沙零点节目里推荐的片子。看了之后，的确有点莫名，片名译得也有点差强人意。一段由胡子引起的个人风。主人公竟为了剃了胡子这件事纠结于臆想症的状况。

其实是心理恐怖片。让人重新思考现实的定义。而且细思略恐。还有总结一句话，我们作为社会里的一份子，被朋友，同事，爱人，家人看到真的很重要。

2006.5.21又看了一部不知所云的法国电影。感觉法国电影已进入了一种孤芳自赏的病态境地。

故弄玄虚的最高境界就是完全不解释（也无法解释），香港的乱入有点莫名

不能说导演拍的不好吧- -实在是水平有限不理解发生了什么- -
